put a ring on it
In the studio - I have a small collection of antique keys I have found over the years at various vintage shops and flea markets. After much thought about how I might use them in a design (other than as pendants), I came up with this adorable little ring. It's funny how the diamond shape in the key fits so well with the design - as though it was meant to be a ring.

clouded thoughts
I captured these beautiful clouds while watching the sun go down on one of many perfect days in Puerto Vallarta. This was taken south of the city just north of Mismaloya. So lovely.

beach baubles
After working on the new collection, Mr. Bauble and I decided to take a break and spend the day at Mission Bay. Here's a sneak peek of a few of our latest designs with a beach perspective.

in bloom
It's nearly spring and that means wildflowers will be making their debut. While on a stroll though the neighborhood, I noticed these lovelies getting a head start on the season. White with a hint of purple may turn up in a new pendant!

vintage inspiration
I took a break this weekend to enjoy the sunshine and to
cruise my favorite antique shops. Perusing case after case of vintage jewelry and accessories helps me come up with new ideas. Plus, I love the rush of finding a real (cheap) gem!
I’m always on the lookout for 1920s Mandalian mesh purses and quirky pendant necklaces from the 60’s. But
really anything with character and uniqueness is bound to find its way home
with me.
Check out a few pics from my latest antique excursion.

city sucker
It’s like that jingle about choosing between two delicious
coconut chocolate bars – sometimes I feel like New York, sometimes it’s Paris. During
even the shortest of visits both cause me to fall madly in love, sending me into
a state of panic over the best way to drop out of my current life and relocate.
Alas, I never learn and with each visit I let them woo me all over again.
Wow, ok, let’s get to the post. I’m a sucker for a clean,
mod illustration. With my favorite cities as subject matter, it’s easy to see
why I’m head over heels for these prints by Vahran Muratyan, the man behind the
blog, Paris versus New York. I’ll
take one/un of each, s'il vous plaît.

puddle perfect
While “San Diego winter” may be an oxymoron to most, we do
get our occasional winter storms (another term I use loosely) in the form of
rainy days – like today. I get to break out my Hunter Festival Wellies and
puddle hop to my car for a slow commute.
What’s missing is a handcrafted umbrella like those from
Parasolerie Heurtault in Paris. Heurtault umbrellas have a unique style
and attention to detail. And with so few days of rain, it would be easy for me to keep this
elemental cover looking perfect.
